Lycan
Chapter 1
My life was a pain. Being chased by humans everywhere I go. Just because of what I am. Even now I’m being chased by humans. I didn’t do anything; just saved a woman from being mugged. Just because am a lycan they chase me—wanting to kill me. Am a beast yes, half man and half wolf for this they fear. I’ve been running for a long time, and turned to look if they were still chasing me. I don’t hear a thing—no screams of a mob just the sound of the owl hooting and the mice scurrying on the ground trying not to be seen by the owl. There no smell of human in the air—I don’t stop running though, thinking that they could catch up to me. I never wanted this life—life of running and fear, but I have it, just because of my father. I don’t hate him for it, but I just wished that I was dead. I’ve been hated all of my life except for one person. I stopped for a minute to look around and soon I saw my home, but in the entrance to the cave stood a woman.
She waves to me and I do the same, “Mark your back,” she shouted to me.
“Hey Sheena,” I answered. Sheena was the one and only human who treated me nicely. The only human that liked me for who I was instead of what I am, “how are you doing?”
“Am fine,” she answered with a smile, “but you should get out of this cold.”
I walked over to her nodding my head. When I got to her I changed back to my human form—my shirt was ribbed off when I changed. Luckily my pants where still on but they were ribbed a bit, “I’ll go an get me some new clothes to wear,” I told her.
“Ok,” she answered with smile. I walked in and looked around. The cave that Sheena and I lived in together in for about three years now—the only place I call home. I headed for a hole in the cave which was my room, “so did you get what I asked for,” she asked?
I hit my forehead when she asked, “sorry must have forgot about it when I was running…”
“Why where you running,” she asked in her worry voice.
I knew right then that I shouldn’t have said that word—the one word that made her worry when I said it when I was out by myself, “I was just running around to get some exercise and I  guess I lost track of everything around me,” I hoped I recovered from what I said previously.
“Mark will you please tell me what really happened,” she said.
Walking out of my room after getting new clothes on I saw her standing in front of the entrance to my room, “that what happened really,” I said.
“Will you please stop lying to me,” she told me grabbing my hand with her two hands, when I got next to her.
She always knew when I was lying to her—I always wondered how she knew, “ok I’ll tell you what really happened.”
After I was done explaining what happened she asked, “Why did you try hiding this from me?”
“I didn’t want you to worry,” which was true I didn’t want her to worry sense she already does too much. “Any way am alright I didn’t get hurt at all.”
She gave me her worried look which made me depressed a little bit. When she was about to speak I out my finger to her mouth sense I knew what she was going to say.
She gave a smile and let go of my hands, “thank you,” she had said. I walked to the middle of the cave and looked all over
I wondered where my two little friends were, “Sheena where are Akane, and Shino,” they were always laying around in the cave when I left.
I looked all over until I heard something from behind me, “HOWL.” I turned and two animals jumped on top of me. When I opened my eyes from being knocked to the floor I saw two wolfs on me licking my face.
It was my two best friends Akane and Shino, “hey guys.” I remember meeting them both when I was looking for shelter and food and I ended up saving them from a poacher. “How are you guys doing well I hope,” after that they got off me and I sat up.
“Howl, Arf, Arf, Howl,” Akane told me and I gave a huge smile—Akane was gray color and a white stripe down his back. Shino was pure white.
Sheena walked over to us and when she was standing next to Shino she kneeled down. She started to pet Shino, “what did he say,” she asked sense she could not understand wolf.
I looked over shaking Akanes paw, “it seems that we are going to have some cubs with us,”
She glanced over with an excited look telling me, “You mean…”
“Yep, Shino is going to have cubs,” I was very happy for that. Shino and Akane have been together sense I knew them and now they were going to have cubs.
“That’s great you two,” Sheena said looking back at them with a big smile.
I was so happy that I for got all about what happened before, “hey Jack did you hear…” I looked around all over but saw nothing but Shino, Akane, and Sheena. “Where is jack,” I asked Sheena sense he was here when I left.
She stood up, “I asked him to get something I forgot to tell you, which was a deer for Akane and Shino,” she said.
I was glad it was that instead of him have to go to the village. The villager would be on alert after seeing me. They would have dogs, and sliver weapons. I stood up and walked outside.
“Where are you going,” Sheena asked me?
“Am just going outside to think that’s all,” I told her well walking out. When I was outside I sat down by the cave wall. I looked up into the sky staring at all the stars. I was thinking about my life and the people all around me. Then, I felt something touch my shoulder. I looked and smiled sense it was just Sheena.
She sat next to me and stared up into the stars like I did, “what are you thinking about,” she asked? I looked down to the ground with a depressed look. I signed, and she looked at me. “What is it,” she worried.
“It just—I can’t stop thinking about what if we had a different life,” which I always thought about. “And how much better it would have been if you never met me. I what if I wasn’t a lycan. You probably would have had a better life,” I finished.
“You know what,” she asked.
“What,” I wondered?
“I like my life just the way it is now,” she answered.
“I looked astonished, “you do?”
“Yes I do,” she said with her of-course-I-do look. “Because I have you in my life,” she had never had such a smile when she just said what she just said. “With you I feel like I can do anything because of you, and as long as you have Jack, Akane, Shino, and me we will be able to help and support you.”
I looked up to her and smiled sense she was right. I never felt better in my life, “thanks Sheena.”
“You’re welcome,” she told me
At that point I looked back at the stars again. Sheena did the same, but she laded her head down on my shoulder. We looked at the stars for what felt like a life time. Then, I heard a noise coming from the bushes. Sheens must have heard it to because she was slowly starting to stand. I did the same.
She looked to me, “what do you think it is,” She whispered.
“I don’t know,” which was true even with this nose of my, “but you should get inside,” I told her but when she turned to go in a shadow figure came out of the bushes—it was big though. I got in front of Sheena and all of a sudden I smelled something familiar, “jack is that you,” I said.
The figure size got smaller and human shape it said, “Mark.” When it got more into the light of the cave I saw it was jack.
I ran over to him,” hey man how are you feeling,” I asked because he was huffing.
“Bad news, huff huff, I saw, huff, two vampires, and they are heading this way,” he finished. I walked him to the cave wall.
“Vamps,” I wondered because we haven’t seen any in months.
“Huff, Positive,” he blurted.
I stood still and looked at him and to Sheena. “Jack I need you to get out of here with Akane, Shino, and Sheena and go to the town 5 miles to the north of here not the one to the south,” I asked him.
“What about you,” Him and Sheena both at the same time?
“Am going to stay and fight,” I answered.
“Are you F****** kidding me,” he shouted to me, “you can’t handle…”
I stopped him from speaking any further, “please for me,” he looked down and then back to me and nodded. I looked to Sheena and she was getting this extremely scared look on her face, but it wasn’t fear for herself, “I’ll be fine,” I said.
Jack headed inside to go get Akane and Shino and to leave me and Sheena alone. She was looking at me for a minute when she told me, “you can’t do this alone let Jack and me to stay here and…”
I interrupted, “no I can allow that you might get hurt any way I can handle it by myself.”
Her eyes started to get watery, “no what happens if you get hurt or worse you die,” she started to cry, “I don’t think I could leave a life with out you.” At that moment she wrapped her arms around me, “I just could die if you died just let us stay with you.”
At that moment Jack came out with Akane, Shino, and two swords. I wrapped my arms around Sheena to comfort her, “If I let you stay here you could die to, and you know what, I couldn’t live with out you either. You the reason I even get up in the morning.” I pulled her off and looked her in the eyes, “and as long as you live am going to find you and be with you ok.”
She nodded her head. She turned around and started to walk to Jack. She stopped and turned and ran to me giving me a dive hug. I hugged to and then she let go I did the same. Jack walked up and handed me one of the swords. I put my hand out and he did the same shaking my hand. Akane and Shino walked over to me and I petted each of them and they give me kiss. They turned and all walked off. They soon disappeared out of my sight. I turned and saw two people standing a least twenty-four feet away from me.
“Saying your good-bye,” said the tall one that was at least six feet tall and where all black, in an evil squeaky voice.
“Yes, were you saying your good-byes,” the second one said in a high pitch voice. He was in all black and hunched over.
I glared at they and then looked up into the stars, “nice night don’t you think?” They both looked at each other and then back to me woundering what the hell I was saying. “Not a cloud in the sky making it a perfect look at the sky. This makes it a good night to die.”
“You must have a death wish then,” the tall said to me, “hahahahaha, this makes it a lot easier for us to kill you.”
“I use to have I death wish,” I started to lower my head and put my hand on the handle of my sword, “but the one who going to die to night,” I had me sword out and my body changed into a lycan charging at them, “IS YOU!” The hunch over vamp was just about to pull his blade out, but I kidded him knocking him back. The other one had his sword out and blocked my swing to his head, with his sword. We were pushing against each other sword his coming closer to me and my, to him.
“You are strong but foolish,” he said, “hahaha, very foolish.”
“Really why is that,” I asked annoyed with how over confident he was.
“Yes, your back is wide open for an attack,” he said.
At that moment I remembered the hunched over guy and when I looked to see if he was in the same spot as he was when I kicked him. He wasn’t and when I looked behind me I saw him charging strait for me sword over his head. It couldn’t end like this the last time I see all my friends and Sheena I told her I would fined her. I closed my eyes ready for the strike to my back to come. I heard the sound of blade cutting through skin, but it wasn’t my I felt fine. I opened my eyes and saw the body of the vamp behind me on the ground head cut strait off and blood pouring out of its body and its head away from it body. I looked up and saw Jack in lycan form. “Jack,” I said.
“Hey man did you really think we would leave you behind to fight these to by your self. Jack moved and I saw Sheena, Akane, and Shino, “to think you getting beat by a vamp how sad,” jack smiled
“Shut up I would have done something,” I argued
“Sure,” he said.
“Any way,” I turned back to the one my sword was crossed with. He was in a state of shock that his partner was dead. “It time to say good-bye.” I pushed against the sword of my enemy hard shoving him back and my blade going strait trough his neck. His body fell to the ground and his head went rolling away. After that I put my sword in the ground and turned. I was staring strait at Sheena. She looked back at me. I started too walked to her. When I was their, I looked at her and said, “I told you.”
“And you were mostly right,” she smiled.
  “Well what are we going to eat,” jack said walking up to us.
I turned looked at the vamp on the ground and turned to each of them, “how bout fried vampire meat.”
They looked at each other and back at me. “Na,” we all said at the same time.
